Our First Family Vacation

We went on our first real family vacation last week. We have gone on a few short camping trips before, but never for vacation, always tacked on to a trip we were making for another reason. But with so much of Europe to explore, and who knows how long we'll be here, we have to take advantage of it. So we went to Scotland to camp and to explore. We went for five days and four nights, and overall we had a great time.

Things started out a bit rough, though, with Becca getting pretty mad in the car. I tried to get a good picture of her grumpy face but she hid behind her feet. I can't remember why she was mad, but I do remember there was a lot of traffic and it felt pretty amusing to be sitting in traffic with Rebecca screaming in the back while on our way to "have fun." We did end up having fun, of course, and we found a side route around the traffic so it didn't slow us down too much.

Also, can you see how much stuff we have in our car? Once we got it packed we realized we didn't have room for the kids, so we sort of packed them in around the pillows...

More about the actual trip once I get the pictures downloaded.
